Mililani, hi
St. Louis handed Mililani their first loss of the season, and it was all business for the Crusaders. After a tough ending to their last game, St. Louis wanted to show the state why they’re still one of the top teams that the islands have to offer.
It would be the first match back home for the Trojans after returning from their 2-week stay in Vegas, collecting wins against Arbor View & Coronado. Many people looked to the Trojan defense, led by the state's top linebacker in the class of '27', toa satele, to find a way to stop the elusive Crusaders' offense. Doing such a thing has been no easy task for the teams that faced off with the crusaders.
It would be the pair of nunuha and Lopes that would strike first against the Trojan defense. Jordan Nunuha would be the player who broke through the Mililani defense, having ended the game with 5 receptions for 128 receiving yards and 2 touchdowns. It wouldn’t be without his gunslinger, Nainoa Lopes, who carved apart the Trojans' defense. Lopes would help the Crusaders jump to a 37-0 lead heading into the half. Nainoa Lopes has posted video game numbers over the past 2 games, having thrown for 438 yards, 6 touchdowns, & 0 interceptions.
Mililani would go on to put up 14 of their own points on the board, but it would be too late for the Trojans to put the bandage on the damage.
St. Louis remains undefeated and now turns their focus to face off with National Powerhouse St. John Bosco on September 19 in Bellflower, California.
Final Score: St. Louis 44 - Mililani 14
